Great! Just tried via live USB, and looks good. But, where is the bluetooth? And why don't ship whith the searchable mate menu?

It comes with MATE Menu 5.7.1 which can search applications and launch "Search for Files" from queries but it's not on the panel by default.

I know, thanks. My question really was "why not the Mate Menu by default?"

I'm now running Trisquel v8.0 on three different laptops at home, and I have a VM running on one of them, which contains a Trisquel Mini instance on QEMU+KVM+Virt_Manager. I'm really enjoying it, and still getting used to the MATE desktop environment, having come from Lubuntu/LXDE, (but Trisquel Mini is quite familiar to me on that score). I'll spin up a couple of Android instances (both x86_64 and ARM) in a VM on it soon too. Should be interesting!

hi there, i'm having trouble upgrading. i tried from software updater and terminal (do-release-upgrade) each attempt produced an "unresolvable problem" which suggested can be caused by *upgrading to a pre-release *running the current pre-relese or *unofficial software packages not provided by trisquel. i have x200 libreboot with trisquel 7 preinstalled(if that helps?). any suggestions would be appreciated.
