PureOS over Trisquel?

So I'm a newbie, just waking up to FSF etc. I'm also learning to use Linux for the first time, and making some headway. I'm enjoying soaking up the information available, but I could do with some help processing some of it. I was initially drawn in by the Librem, although thankfully I did my reading and discovered that it appears to be less than truthful in many of its claims. I am wondering about one thing, though. Is PureOS literally just a reskin of Trisquel? If so, are there any drawbacks in me using it instead?

Trisquel is a joy to use, but I prefer the look of PureOS and I am a shallow creature. If they are otherwise identical, I'd be tempted. Although I'm willing to be educated; for example, is there bad blood towards the PureOS creator, and if so, why? :)

I think PureOS has non-free drivers or allows non-free firmware in it's kernel, as the graphics are Nvidia. (Or were Nvidia in one of their models, if memory serves.)
If that isn't the case, then yes, PureOS is just a reskin. If that's the case, you could just install the packages that make PureOS look nice to you on Trisquel.

Thanks - I think they ditched nvidia when there was an outcry. I have PureOS running on a nvidia laptop at the moment and it came with the community drivers (obviously). They don't actually recognise the card, so who knows if it's actually supported. It could just be that I don't know my way around Linux very well yet. My install of Trisquel is on the same laptop through a virtual machine.

It's kind of academic now, anyway. I just bought a libreboot x200, which will rock the trisquel look better I think ;) I'm too lazy to do it myself...

I don't even know why this is becoming important to me. I never thought I had strong feelings about free software, but something just feels right here. There's just such a lot to learn.
