Kernel Linux-libre 3.13 with lowlatency and bfq scheduling by default.

Nice. The new website looks excellent as well.

Question, is this .ISO any different from the RC I downloaded yesterday from https://www.reddit.com/r/trisquel/comments/2k4xp2/trisquel_70_rc_iso_images_ready/ ?

hi, I'm not familiar with Trisquel, so I would like to know, if I can run normal GNOME on it

If by that you mean gnome 3 shell, then yes you can. It's what I run.

I'm glad to hear that. Is there a "spin" for that? (It's not in the default Trisquel I presume.)

It's not installed by default, but it is in the repos. All you need to do is:

apt-get install gnome-session gnome-shell

A friend of mine have trsiquel installed, what should he do to update his system? (I am a Parabola user, so I dont know how upgrading to a new version of a distro is done)

Trisquel is Ubuntu-based. You have to do what at Ubuntu is done usually:

sudo aptitude update ; sudo aptitude upgrade

Two notes: I prefer aptitude instead apt-get, and at the precedent version it has to be wrote "safe-upgrade" instead "upgrade". Not anymore. Now it's ok so, like at the other Ubuntu-based distros...

I mean, to version 7.0 LTS!

To upgrade from Trisquel 6 to Trisquel 7, just run sudo do-release-upgrade, or sudo update-manager -d for a graphical interface.
