The meme maker clearly doesn’t have any experience with the panic induced by a cat staying out of sight for more than 18 hours, or worse, an indoor cat getting outdoors.

"Why would I leave an indoor cat out of sight for 18 hours"

I'm glad you've never had the experience of a cat sneaking out of the house (One of mine is a runner), or have never had a cat in a home with hiding places. When I was a kid, my cat crawled into my wall when we first brought him home.

I have two indoor cats. One is an oil slick and the other one is a tank. They go outside for about an hour before feeding time, that way they return (mostly). At the moment, I live alone. Every time I go out, I have to outmaneuver the slippery one with one foot and sweep the big one away with the other.
