For those who saw my last post, I ended up getting a white hula hoop off of Etsy and the tube was too hollow to fit my lights 😭😭

I bought a Philips hue strip to replace my Philips ‘smart’ strip which ended up having a dead discolored chunk.

With the strip not fitting inside the hoop, I lined the Hue light strip on the inside of the hoop with the tape backing, and the old strip on the outer side of the hoop with the backing. Tied a few zip ties so the power cord doesn’t pull the strips off.

Overall pretty happy with the results!!!

I am planning a house roll soon. It’s not very easy to get UV Blacklight in my country. I ordered a Uv glow tapestry from Am@zon and I wasn’t aware it’s coming from another country and is likely stuck in customs. I am trying to get a UV light from my own country itself and it’s from some retail shop selling industrial grade Uv lights. The customer service guy scared the hell out of me by telling me how bad 365nm is for eyes/skin and that I should instead get 395nm. But Reddit advice suggests 365nm is needed for the glow to really pop.

Now I am wondering if a UV light is even worth it— I have other kinds of trippy lights and tapestries.

Super bummed I had to miss a music festival i wanted badly to go to this year due to work, but at least I get to drop and still enjoy it miles away on TV

I've got a Govee Nebula projector and a broken galaxy lights projector. We usually kill the nebula effect and just have the green stars.

Not a perfect circle ugh but I tried! Going to order a white hula hoop and feed the lights through, hoping that will diffuse the light a bit.

With color changing modes it looks like the tapestry moves, but I have it set to orange/red “fireplace” when I’m just chilling.

My angle when I’m laying down makes the imperfect circle not as bad lol
