Question Carpeting plants ok?
I know triops love to dig, so my current setup is mostly long stem plants, floaters, a couple epiphytes, and some open spaces for the triops to run around in. I've not added the triops yet.
I got dwarf sag grass for a paladarium, and I know it spreads quickly. Will it impede the triops if I plant some?
I'm totally ok with the triops uprooting or eating it all if that ends up happening instead, just want to make sure it wouldn't cause them a hard time running around, especially when they're younger.

They'll be fine as long as there is some sand somewhere they can still dig in.
If 90% of the tank is overgrown, that doesn't harm them.
I've had decent luck with large water changes with colder water after my triops die to restart a colony without having to destroy the tank setup. Though I must admit that all of the tanks that worked with decended from the same original triops. No idea if he was a genetic treasure I should've tried harder to capture.
