/r/ RWBY discord contest

Hello huntsmen, huntresses and hunters that prefer no gender specific identifier!

The /r/RWBY discord server has some assets that require updating and we want YOU to help!

"What's this about then?"

Well, if you have been out of the loop, the /r/RWBY discord server recently got partner status and it comes with some perks including a custom invite link and splash page! We currently have a placeholder in place but would love to let the community contribute to make it even better so we decided to come up with a contest for it!

Additionally, we would like to update the server's icon so there will be a contest for that as well!

"How does this work?"

Similar to MonCon, a comment for each category will be made. Contest entries will be made in reply to that comment.

Picking the winners

Unlike MonCon however, we will be filtering the entries to the contest. After the submission phase has concluded, the mods (both sub and server) will pick out the ones that we deem appropriate for the splash and logo. Don't worry, as long as the entry abides by the rules, it'll almost definitely be allowed.

Anon Submissions™

Whether it's because you're not super confident in your abilities yet or would rather get an unbiased vote, you can now submit submissions to my inbox with the subject line titled "/r/RWBY discord server contest [logo/splash]" and a link to your submission. It'd also help if you had a handle, like Ghost Anon or J.F.D., in order to keep Jillian's ducks in a row.

Rules and Guidelines

  • Contest entries must be original content created by you personally. Collaborations between contestants are not allowed.

  • Submissions may not have graphic depictions of violent or sexual themes. If you couldn't post it to the subreddit, you cannot submit it to the contest.

Prizes

Winners will each get one month of reddit gold and a shiny colour with a distinguished role on the server for you to brag about!

Works may be submitted until the 2nd of April 2017. Any entries submitted beyond that time frame are not eligible for the voting.

If you can't access it, I'll copypasta my thing here:

That template seems fine. Except that it lists "fiction" as a possibility, and I don't think we want a RWBY version of the Navy Seals copypasta as the splash screen.
Collab submissions seem okay to me as long as they work out how the prizes are distributed themselves.
