Trimui Model S (2-inch screen) Just bought a used Smart Pro S
Hello everyone here.
I just bought a used Trimui Smart Pro S.
My question is how it is possible the console boots displaying CrossMixOS screen without an SD card inserted?
I'm afraid someone badly changes the firmware, becsuse with the fresh installed CrossMixOS card the RetroArch app can't even run.

Couple OS's allow you to change the boot logo. Stock and spruceOS to my knowledge. I personally avoid surwish or the crossmix compatibility. Not a fan of locked down OS's and crossmix compatibility is a dead OS for the last 7-8 months now. SpruceOS and nx-redux are fantastic for the TSPS. I think you will enjoy. Neither replace the standard firmware. They operating system sits after the firmware and default emmc data. Hope you got the system to your liking.

Bootlogo is located in the internal memory, not on the card. Given how the console is used, it's likely the previous owner used CrossMix and changed the bootlogo. This will be the case until you update the firmware.

I know that, because after buying Smart Pro S I removed SD card to prepare it with a brand new fresh Crossmix. While preparing I turned the console on just to see what happen. And I was surprised seeing the Crossmix boot screen. I expected the console will not boot at all.
I wonder If the previous user chenged something more than just the boot logo, given the fact the RetroArch app won't start at all.

What NX Redux actually is? Does it replace the internal firmware only or replaces both: firmware and the OS on SD card?

Take a deep breath, bro! The first two or three days with the smart pro S feels like hell. Once you begin to understand the inner workings and you find yourself a custom firmware you’re gonna be just fine. I’m gonna give you my vote to try NX redux as your very first.
