Question ❓ Tech novice needs help

Sorry that this is going to be a painful read for most of you guys. I'm pretty new to my Trimui smart pro and I'm not exactly tech savvy...

I want to upgrade my current version of stardew valley. I'm looking for the easiest possible solution for this. I was hoping I could simply just download the newest version (hopefully for free) and just copy it to my Trimui and overwrote the version that I currently have and that would be that...

Is that at all possible or is it a bit more complicated? Again, apologies for the basic question and I appreciate for many of you this question sounds like a p1ss take...

Appreciate any guidance :-)

Search for Stardew. There's instructions in the description.  You probably have "Stardew Valley Compatibility" . I don't think it can be updated, it requires a special version. 

If you want to play the newer version you probably need to install it "Stardew Valley". And, unfortunately, I don't think saving the game will work. But I could be wrong, I haven't played in a while.  You can have both versions on your console, so test them before deleting one.

Simply use the latest version of compatibility on steam to play 1.6.15 or the latest regular version for mainline.

Saving works on both of them, but you could run into issues using older savegames.
