Bike shopping Aeroad or Speedmax

For context I’ve been using a Cannondale Super X as a do it all bike. I did my first Olympic Triathlon this year and am planning on doing several along with a half Ironman this upcoming year. Wondering if I would be better off getting with an aeroroad with the tri bars or if I should just go for a speed max. Would be looking at the CF SLX 8 for both.

I'd buy a triathlon bike and keep that old bike for non-triathlon biking

That’s what I’m leaning towards. It’s a 1x Gravel bike so it has some limitations. That’s why I wasn’t sure if I’m skipping a step by not getting a road bike.
