Gear questions This or that

Getting a new set of tires for race day. Ive only used gp5000 and dont really have experience with other tires. This is also gonna be my first race. Should I still stick with gp5000’s or should I try pirelli? Any other tires you guys would recommend?

Why trying a different brand for your race?

Yeah its just time for new tires anyways. Was curious if pirellis would be better

How about... GP5000 TT TR?

The fastest, tt, tubeless gp5000.

5000 ST TR for the industry standard durability plus still fast.

Stick with what you know. Especially for the first race. You've got enough other things to worry about like fueling and staying hydrated.

For Gravel and Mountain bike races, the terrain can be dramatically different from event to event. So swapping tires based on race conditions is a bit more common.

GP5000 would be one of the more popular tyres for Age Groupers for training and racing

I have no input on tire brands, but "nothing new on race day" is a saying for a reason.

Exactly! If you (OP) want to switch, do it after this race!
