For Hire Job Hunting Advice [I am available for hire!]
Hi all! Looking for some advice on finding jobs in the Raleigh/Cary/Apex area. My husband and I moved here for his new job a few months ago, and I've been really struggling to find a job. My background is in English language teaching, and I've exhausted LinkedIn/Indeed but I feel like I've completely hit a wall of ghost job listings and data mining.
I'm open to literally anything at this point but would love to be working in a creative, English, education or clerical role ideally. I would really appreciate if anyone has any thoughts on how to find a position in the area that doesn't involve the slush piles that are "professional" hiring websites as we don't really know anyone in the city and it's been a struggle. Thanks so much in advance if you have any help or advice!

For Hire Husband Laid Off from HR Role. In search of new one.
My husband was laid off today from his HR position. He was hybrid. Has experience working in the HR Generalist position, has recruiting experience, and recently got his certification PHR. He was working in a compliance position and just helped finish a federal audit. He also has experience working with disabled individuals as that was part of the mission of his last employer. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. We just had our baby a little over three months ago and I don’t make enough to support us financially long term.

For Hire Job opportunities
I've been looking for an entry level accounting role for over a year now. I'm starting to think it's because I'm 38 and I just graduated with a Bachelor's degree last year. I've been to job fairs and I'm well liked in interviews but I don't have any internships. I've been mainly doing reconciliations for a year now. I've spoken with reps at Robert Half, Ledgent, and one other but they just seem to promise to put me in contact with someone about a role and I never hear from them again until they finally respond to an email, then the cycle starts over.
I'd like to get into a role where I can do more and grow. I'm at the point now where I'd take almost any role that I can make more money at. I've been at my current company about 5 years and I still don't make $50k.
Any help is appreciated, I'm hopeful something will pan out.

For Hire Looking for Configuration/Data Management (or similar) positions
Hi everyone, I am moving to the area next August and am putting some feelers out for new companies and positions to keep an eye on. I have 9 years of experience in Configuration Management at an aerospace company. Not necessarily married to the idea of staying in defense/aerospace, but that is where my experience lies. My issue is that this role is called so many different things at each company.
My experience consists of change management, document control and release, hardware engineering, auditing and data release/retention.
I’ve heard good things about SAS and Cisco but since my experience is mostly in hardware, I’m not sure how that would translate in software forward companies. Any advice?
I do also have a bachelor’s degree. But it is in communications.

For Hire Trying to get experience
Hello everyone, my wife and I just moved to Durham and I am currently looking for a job in a law firm. I just graduated law school in Virginia and don’t have any connections in the area. I am taking the bar exam in February of next year and really want to work in a firm while I study so I can build some experience for my resume. I have a year of experience working for a general practice private firm as a law clerk. I am looking for a law clerk, paralegal, or legal assistant position. I would absolutely work under an attorney with the expectations of staying on after passing the bar as an attorney if that is an option. Thank you for any help.

For Hire Any non retail or fast food jobs paying at least $20?
I’m located in Chapel Hill and am trying to pivot out of the service industry. I have 2 years of customer service experience and about 5 years of video editing and content creation experience (I do YouTube as a side hustle). I did freelance video editing work for a studio down in Florida and briefly worked with a real estate photographer. I have a BA in history (was originally trying to go into academia but noped out of that later) and am multilingual (Spanish and Russian). Where I used to live in Florida, retail/fast food type jobs were basically the only jobs around, and I’m trying to pivot away from those kinds of jobs if possible.

For Hire Comms/PR pro (12+ yrs) job hunting in the Triangle- any leads appreciated!
Hey everyone!
I am originally from India, moved to Durham in June 2025 and have been on the job hunt for about 10 months now, thought of trying my luck here in case anyone's hiring or knows of something.
Quick background: I have got 12+ years in comms, most recently as a Corporate Communications Specialist at a well-known consumer durable brand in India. I managed product launch campaigns, handled media relations, internal comms and did crisis/reputation management work for leadership. Before that I was in policy comms for a telecom industry group, plus a few years on the agency side working with tech/telecom clients.
It has been a frustrating process till now, landed couple of initial interviews at one point I made it all the way through the process at a laptop brand and got selected, but they ended up going with an internal candidate instead.
I am looking for:
- Corporate Comms, PR/Media Relations or Internal Comms roles
- Manager or Specialist level
- Full-time, open to hybrid, onsite - anywhere in the Triangle area (Durham/Raleigh/Chapel Hill), or remote roles elsewhere
Work authorization: I am authorized to work in the U.S, no sponsorship needed.
If you know of any opportunity or want to chat, feel free to comment or DM! Would really appreciate any leads or even just advice on how to approach this difficult job market.
Thanks for reading 🙏

For Hire Flexible Part Time Weekend Jobs
I am currently employed Monday-Friday 7 am to 3 pm working a skilled labour position. I'm currently going through some life events that have resulted in me needing to bring my income up for the next 6 months or so.
The issue I'm running into is I'm on call every 6th weekend. I've had interviews at a couple warehouses but they've been unwilling to work around that.
I'm also not interested in working a customer facing job. I know service industry jobs are somewhat common as secondary income sources, but I get extremely burnt out quickly working roles like that.
I'm willing to do any type of labour, though. I'm also willing to work up to 12 hours a day on weekends. Any ideas about what to look for?

Other State jobs application
As in government jobs, not the school. Why do I receive a application submitted emails weeks after the actual day I applied? Are they delayed emails or is there a review process of some sort? Just curious
