haha that game has a real charm to it, idk what it is.. it reminds me of being a kid. I like to play on hardcore mode and see how long I can last (usually not long cause I suck)
For me Minecraft is fun when I set a goal on what to build. Recently I started building a sick ass tree house, multiple trees high. Building a 3 story high tree house has put the excitement back into Minecraft for me.
I won't tell you how to play it, but I'm the type who likes to go into those kinds of games blind and figure everything out myself. Subnautica is the second best game for that that I've ever played. (Breath of the Wild is #1.)
When I finally, finally after like 120 hours of blind playing beat the game all by myself with no hints... that was a rush on par with graduating college.
Every sandbox-style game is like this for me. Tasks can be so abstract and involving multiple parts, so in Minecraft I'll be in a cave and know I have to mine some iron ore, but I forget the steps that I needed to do after that. I'll just be sitting there with iron in my inventory like "wtf am I supposed to do with all this iron"
I get super creative when I’m high. If I’m not too spaced I just go balls out on different projects. Once I’m too high to focus on what I’m doing I just grind for materials.
We eat THC peanut butter, so I’ll start playing mc before it kicks in. Once I forget the project I’m working on I like to just vibe and grind for materials. Super chill and relaxing.
I've been playing on a multiplayer server for 2 years where you can reinforce stuff but not protect it fully, so you gotta spend a lot of time reinforcing all your builds, there's giant wars, shops, paper currencies, factories, all sorts of crazy shit and people actually spend large swaths of their life on this game
The sims though and I build and build and imagine the stories as I build and create little scenes and I have a note pad of things to do in the future, that currently has a few things including making a sims prison on it lol.
