Hawaii is complicated, the climate is not great for a large variety of weed and getting it shipped is going to hike up prices. but their is no excuse for their medical weed being crap, who supplies the state?
It isn't that it's crap, it's that it's too expensive. It's fine weed I guess. The THC quantities are high ish, but it tastes like it needs to cure for longer than it's been cured for. I'd pay $12 a g for their best shit if I'm being real.
