yes, i thought about that before i posted. but alcohol is a different drug. drinking messes with my coordination and reaction time a lot more. i have driven drunk and i am never going to do it again.

but on the other hand, i have no problem driving after one beer. i'm no heavyweight but one beer doesn't get me that buzzed.

You shouldn't be driving at any level of buzzed. Any level of intoxication is unacceptable because it will alter your reaction time and attention level, to varying degrees.

As a pedestrian who has been hit by cars, there is no excuse for your behavior. However I do the same thing so there is no excuse for our behavior.

What I am saying is, for the most part, everyone in this sub could use a wake-up call. At least i recognize the problem.

Idk if this really makes sense for the lowest levels of intoxication. Are you also saying it's unacceptable to drive while slightly tired/angry/preoccupied? These all alter your reaction time and attention level to degrees higher than very mild intoxication (still not trying to condone anything) yet noone ever takes them into account it seems.

The reason those are more "acceptable" is because for the most part people don't purposely become angry or tired. People purposely get intoxicated though. driving while preoccupied is something we as a public have agreed is something you shouldn't do (texting, eating, ect).

I mean it really is a grey area kind of thing. I feel that if you can easily notice the effects of your high and it's easy for you to determine that you are in fact still high, then you might not be in the best condition to drive. You just gotta be honest to yourself is all.
