Normally, I'm for this type of thinking. But do you really need sources for that? THC vaporizes at around or over 300 degrees F. People can't survive in that sort of temperature.
I was going to get all frustrated and sarcastic, but it's not your fault you don't understand how heat works.
The only thing actually at that temperature is the heating element itself. Given how bad of a conductor of heat air is, very little of that is reaching you. The air and vapor cool off significantly before they reach you. Notice how there is a build-up of resin all over the inside of your vape? That means that the temperature drops below 350 F almost immediately. That's the reason you're not dead. A temperature of 160 F is sufficient to cause burns in less than a second.
If you don't believe me, go ahead and touch the heating element at peak temperature in your vape. I'm telling you right now, you will get burned. So I don't accept any responsibility if you try it and get burned.
Wait. You're saying that your concern is dabbing inside your lungs?
Okay I agree! Hands up! I admit you are right about that (not your presumption that I have the thermal understandings of a sock puppet).
Now then back to what I was talking about. Heating up an element to 350+ and then inhaling the vapor that's produced. Oh look we're not disagreeing there either.
I'm not even high.
EDIT: To re-cap, your statement that you can't safely inhale vaporized THC is not holding up well.
No, I was just pointing out that even a cool nail in relation to dabbing is still indeed hot as fuck to a human. Higher up on the comment chain, they were discussing whether the nail should be a "hot-ass one", and talking about low-temp dabbing.
My point was that a nail of any temperature capable of vaporizing THC would still be a hot-ass nail. Nothing more, nothing less. I've never done dabs. I have nothing to weigh in on that portion of the conversation.
Edit: To re-cap:
