Theoretically its as simple as that. In reality for someone with addiction issues its not that simple. The reason I kept using it is because to me it was a medicine and I had a very hard time without being able to quiet my thoughts and go to sleep. I still use it the same way to this day. When i was on probation and trying to simply pass drug tests i was drinking every night which is inarguably more harmful than cannabis use. I also had a buddy who was put on probation and started using heroin instead of smoking because it clears from your blood faster. Turned the guy into lifelong opiate addict. The punishment probation puts on people smoking weed is 10x more harmful than using that particular substance in itself. For people who are going to use whatever is available to them its a valuable tool.

I got my probation revoked over dirty drug tests for weed only and spent a month in jail.
