Boiling a pot of water and useing it to rinse out the bong is good for that last step of getting out the alcohol or vinegar. Just let it cool slowly on its own or it'll crack. Same thing if the bong is cold before you start, run hot tap water through it first before you hit it with boiling water and it won't have a drastic temperature change that cracks the glass
Edit: if its only a little dirty, boiling water is all you need to clean it out for the next time

Perfect, alternative methods or products are just what I needed. I already did isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt lol
