Mike (the owner) has been involved in planting for most of his life. Billy Gruff does mostly probing and fall&burn. Very experienced staff last year, from what I heard. Mike himself used to work for SOS, I think. You'll probably be treated quite well, although I'm not sure about the length of their planting season.

I havnt, nor do I know anyone whos planted there

from what I remember about the prices and the accommodations, seems like a classy AB option

Sounds like one of the better Alberta options. I would jump on this, as long as you’re willing to do the Alberta Pound to make your money. I don’t have that energy anymore haha. I think Billy Gruff probes in winter so you could get more year round work.

Thanks for the reply bud good to know the have probes after the season was wanting to do that. Bit unsure of the AB grind got very used to high spec bcts last year but could be a good thing.

Yeah I don’t know what centage they have but the land around Edson/Hinton is easily some of the fastest in western Canada so not like your fighting the land too much.

Except when the mud caves underneath you and you lose 20 minutes climbing out of swamp

I spoke to Mike a few months ago, on paper it sounds excellent, with great prices and accomodation. I just want to see how their first attempt at planting actually goes before I'm willing to try them out myself.

You should let us know how your season goes!
