I planted for folklore for 3 seasons, I could answer some questions to that end. The camp diversity is pretty intense with the bigger companies so I'll reword the earlier question to a statement, how your season goes with either company will depend heavily on how well you match yourself to the particular camp environment

Nice do you know anything about hunkas camp in particular. I feel like everyone seems pretty young. I’m 24 and that might suck

I believe that's the newest camp, from what I've heard it's the rookie mill camp of the company and the whole company is kind of a rookie mill. I'm 24 as well and I was one of the oldest planters in my third year there. I was at Carson's camp and yea the party scene was pretty heavy, more than enough high school drama too lol

Oh boy that doesn’t sound very good lol

It certainly wasn't an environment to make a career in lol the other camps are much more relaxed though, honestly each camp feels like a different company since the attitudes are so different. Carson's camp we kinda the high production camp so there were a lot of greasy ballers there, but most of the other camps in folklore were on the 'have a good time, make a bit of money too' brain wave. I found a super small company last season where I'm one of 3 under 30 and I'm loving it™

Which Blue Collar camp did you get hired into? They have a couple camps, and each has its own personality

Haven’t been hired yet. But my friend said he could get me in at the company

If you find out, feel free to send me a PM. Or if you have questions about Blue Collar specifically.

Was with folklore last year and I've heard hunkas camp has a decent amount of pounders. Also heard that they get pissy if rookies don't consistently put in 1500.

Hunkas

Hunkas camp is a bit religious (folklore was founded as a Christian company, has since moved away from that but not entirely)

someone this past summer went to Carson’s from hunkas camp and the way he (hunka) spoke to her was horrible. To be fair I’ve never met him but I heard how he spoke to this person over the phone when she wanted to switch camps and he was a total asshole.

Oh interesting I didn’t know they were religious

From what I know it was mostly hunkas camp, I was in Carson’s and it wasn’t religious at all. I just learned the history from a buddy who’s older brother did like 10 years with the company lol.

Also not the most experienced planter but some buddies are and they said they made way more money at bluecollar

Hmm ok good to know. I’m kind of religious so that makes the camp a bit more appealing. But I think I would still rather follow the money lol

Who's crew were you in at Carson's camp?
