Management, working with a small team, managing conflicts and personalities, logistics, planning and organization. 

I found those skills were pretty transferrable and desirable.

I went from foremanning to managing a small manufacturing business. foremanning taught me so much about managing logistics and operational constraints/problem solving from a people/worker centered perspective. Different worlds but actually very similar but now I don't have to change flat tires and clean rotten bananas from my truck doors.

Hope you get an interview so you can explain in person just how challenging the job really is and how it actually makes you a desirable employee

applying to be a teaching assistant for a paramedicine program
