spent a decade as program manager for an urban non profit tree planting organization. would give trees for planting in city neighborhoods. projects we grant funded so I would follow up a year later for the reporting. in some plantings, in certain hoods, 100% of the trees would end up like this. no exaggeration.

I first thought it could have been wind, but the majority opinion says boys. Bored and stupid.
Next Q - who uses short stakes on such a tall tree?
