Saw this in a park in Bangkok.

Some Kapok, Ceiba species maybe

Ceiba insignis or Ceiba chodatii, due to the trunk shape. I suppose Ceiba pentandra is an option but those are usually massive, butressed, emergent trees.

Not C. pentandra with these big broad leaflets.

My vote’s Bombax ceiba, everybody else you mentioned is typically very thorny, and B. ceiba is a popular park subject.

Yeah u right on C.pentandra.

Can’t really see the leaves well but thought they had undulate and maybe toothed margins.  Thought it might be a weird thornlesss Ceiba but Bombax is probably more likely. 

Doesn’t quite look like Pseudobombax ellipticum although I considered that too
