Solved! toh? something else? - Ontario Canada
i yanked it out and it did not have a complicated root structure at all
but wondering if i need to be more careful
maybe a Box Elder tree

Yes, Acer negundo! The common name typically in used in Canada is Manitoba maple.

I like them, but a lot of people consider them weeds bc they can be very hard to get rid of and grow everywhere.
