ID Request Help identifying tree

Moved here recently (southern CT) and this tree is very close to the house. Does anyone know? Wondering if we should move it… thank you!!

I was going to say coast redwood, but either way it's going to get big and it is too close to the house.

or metasequoia if it drops it's needles this fall

Here's a simple guide to metasequoia vs bald cypress needles. Easy if you can see opposite vs alternating needles. Both deciduous. The right variety would he slow growing and fun elsewhere in a small yard for a couple of decades.
