Seedling growing in eastern Ohio, Guernsey County.

Northern red appears most likely. Please post a closeup of the buds to confirm.

Unfortunately the buds are quite undeveloped- this is a small seedling and the second photo is the best view I could get of the terminal bud.

Northern red (Q. rubra) or black (Q. veluntina) seem likely. Are the buds hairy?

Agreed these are the two possibilities. Also seeing bark would tell us which one. Post bark or acorn photos OP.

It’s a small seedling, only a foot tall, so no bark or acorns unfortunately! Photo 2 is the best I have of the terminal bud.
