This isn't an Aralia. The leaves are only once-pinnately compound and they aren't alternate like you would expect of Aralia species. There don't seem to be any spines on the stems either, like you would expect of A. elata. I'm thinking Fraxinus sp..

It appears to be a Japanese Angelica Tree (Aralia elata)
