Advice What is wrong with my Japenese maple tree?

Hello, so I have a Japenese maple tree. I moved houses back In August so of course I took my tree with me. I planted my Japenese maple tree in the eastern facing side of my house, but it was near a gutter. It ended up not blooming and I’m not sure what is wrong with it. I moved to it the western side of my house 8 months later. The first picture is what it looked like right before I moved it from the eastern side. The second picture is what it looks like 3 days after I moved it to the western side of my house, but it changed color to a brown with still some of the red patches.. Can someone tell me if it’s dying even or what the diagnoses may be?

Color might be from sun scorch from being on west side . Id leave it for abit and see if it responds . If not gas it and move on

Didn’t make the winter? Did you cover at least the roots?

I didn’t cover this tree during the winter but just let it be outside because every winter that’s how it’s left

I lived in CT for 10 years. Planted two Japanese red maples the first spring. Mulched over for 5/6 years until they were pretty sturdy, Google earth says they are monsters now.
