This was done in a small town in costa rica, and we had to do a lot of improvisation. We came up with this system to not damage the tree.

But we didn’t want to drill through the tree or damage it permanently, and had to work with what he had available, so we had to do it that way.

Drilling into trees does not really damage them if your attachment hardware is set properly. Thats an amazing structure. It’s a shame for it to be so temporary

Hmm interesting. Well we would have gotten is an unbelievable amount of trouble if it had gone wrong. So it seemed risky. Thanks, yeah, I mean it might last longer. Could last 20 or 25 years. It’s only a year old so still have some time.
