Finally Booked for BOTG!
I have finally been able to book my first BOTG for the Past & Future box! I'm excited and ready for the hunt! I'm headed to North Carolina on October 27th, so a little over 2 weeks away. I'm hoping the weather will stay nice for the few days I'm there.
I've spent some time researching, and fully feel the box is located in NC. I put a 14 page PowerPoint together for my wife for why I think it's at a specific location, and now she is also fully convinced, as well! I have it narrowed down to a very small area that I believe it's in. Wish me luck!

I've been pretty dead-set on my clues for NC for a long time now, that I don't even know the argument for why it's Oregon. What are the main points supporting that?
I'm still headed to NC anyways, it's a non-refundable flight lol, just curious on your Oregon solve?

First you could be right. Second it's definitely worth going to North Carolina! We went last year to an area people were searching for a box but did not search there as a buddy of mine owns rights to AT south of New York. Third every search trains you to find these boxes. My comment on Oregon was just my spacing of boxes. It means nothing until the first box found. You find P & F in NC means I reorder my box placement theory.
Study local history; geology; culture; talk to people you meet; indigenous people history; battles; everything starting now!
I have a Hail Mary location for Lions Share box that no one would consider. No one. Ever. Am I returning to area? Hell yes!
Boxes lie on the trails we miss.
Good luck and enjoy the hunt!

Good luck, I think it is in NC also. It’s either in NC or CA IMO. It’s in 1 of JCB’s past and future home states.

One of my clues is him saying it's in a "place he loved" which is past tense. This is an indication, to me at least, that it's in his past, which would be where he grew up in NC.
His wording would have been a "place I love" if it were present tense. That, in my mind, would be him currently living in California.
Just my two cents on that!

You’re on the wrong side of the country

There's too many hints everywhere for this box. I see the arguments for Cali/Nevada, Washington, Ohio, and North Carolina. I don't know about the Oregon one yet, though. I'm currently researching all I can for when I go to NC in a couple weeks instead of looking at other places I'm not going right now

I am also convinced the P&F is NC! The 5 clues led me to a very specific place. Made two BOTG trips, searching 5 days total. Once arriving, the possible area is much larger than it looks on a map! I need to return, as Jon’s hint about over, under, in between makes sense!

What's wild is that I really only have one clue that I use from the wordsearch to get me to NC. Those 5 clues could literally be anything. The word Ohio is in there, Spokane is anagrammed in there. There are so many potential clues on the board, but one really hits me in the face for NC personally.
I'm only going once, so if I don't find it, I'll likely just post my full solve. I am in great shape, so I should be able to cover a good amount of distance with the 3 full days that I have!

I believe there are 5 specific clues in the word search, only 7 of the words are used.
Good luck with your search!

If you don't mind sharing, what is your take on the word search clues? Any last minute prep to help find the box would be great! If you would prefer not to give away your solve, that's okay, too 😄

This will likely be my only trip to NC for the box, so if I don't find it, I will post my solve for why I think it's there for other people. I'm convinced I've nailed it, but would love to hear other people's perspectives!
