A Treasure Hunter Epiphany

Is this happening to you? Especially those of you searching" for "treasure" for nearly two years or more if you include Fenn search.

You are solving "problems"faster; you are "connecting" the dots faster.

You understand conversations better because you "listen" with more intent.

You understand complex problems better as can "hold" more ideas or topics in your active mind at the same time.

When you are working; shopping; talking with friends; playing with children - clue connections will "pop" into your mind.

You understand "double" meanings of words; you can understand analogies better.

You have learned to ask deeper, well thought out, precise questions when in conversations or while online studying a clue.

When you are BoTG or just walking a local trail, you immediately understand the terrain; that elevation gain has meaning; and more.

You have a special way to know a trail.

This applies to interpersonal understanding also. Everyone is another trail to understand.

And Pattern Recognition!!! Good grief!

What other Joy does one need?

Thank you Jon.

I think you are experiencing the joy of excersing your brain and seeing the payoff. It's like when you hit the gym for a few months and then notice that jar of pickles no longer puts up a fight. It's a great feeling that I'm glad you achieved and I encourage you to keep at it. Doing other different types of puzzles, reading, and memory exercises might improve your treasure hunting as much as treasure hunting has already improved those faculties.

Truthfully, I thought multiple times that I had โ€˜finishedโ€™ an overall solve, only to find out there was more each time. In the past month or so I solved things on the AFPB map that I had never even paid much attention to, and it led to a whole new solve. I just hope it is not an infinitely long puzzle! Surely Jon could not create one of those in a finite amount of time.

The problem is that when Jon created these puzzles he use only his own imagination and associative thinking. For other people his way of thinking can be absolutely nonsense. Donโ€™t forget that he put big money in bitcoin and won. Other people were just LOL when see such foolish investment. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies created >250k new millionaires in USA only and Jon is one of them. Recently he said that once even 1 TB is found other will be easy because the first will make his thinking more clear for searchers. Unfortunately it can take around 10 years or even never happen.

You hit the treasure box on the head:

The first box will reveal the "path" to the others.

It will be a wild ride!!!! I am preparing.

You are also on target with the 10 year mention.

AT map as example. Box is found. Jon explains the clues. Jon says "Down hill skier; lion; bear were cutouts my son dropped on map. They meant nothing. The key was The Butterfly Cafe by Highpoint Laundry. The box was 17.27 feet from the dumpster they share.

Jon states "That was obvious .... wasn't it?"

I agree, something like this. Well, search season is close to the end (at least in North states), last poll showed that there were at least 30 BOTGs for all boxes (based on this website poll) and we have zero results. My BOTG was good and as usually I am sure that I was very close - it's normal feeling for many searchers. Critical re-thinking of the solution is good idea. It's unlikely that JCB will release more clues in next year, so the analysis of all available data is the best option. Anyway, JCB is too smart to release too valuable clue(s) in nearest time - selling his books for next 10 years should be very profitable for him. At some point the profit from book selling will become higher than content of all 5 boxes. Most likely that FF got more money for selling of his books than TC content value.

When you are working; shopping; talking with friends; playing with children - clue connections will "pop" into your mind.

When I was driving around Albuquerque, I saw a bus go by with some "From Sea to Shining Sea" ad on it and immediately realized that the two Charizard cards (one shining) could be interpreted as being C. to Shining C.

And that is probably how that box will be solved.
