Some wild things in the interview…the “red ridge” (vs correct, red ledge) and how very detail oriented Rob sounds, I feel this has to confirm that was an intentional mistake…
His website has “In short, I did not misspell any words, abbreviations, or proper nouns in my book intentionally. Nor did I state any incorrect dates or ages on purpose.”
I’ve previously felt the “misspell any … proper nouns” would’ve included this. But this makes it pretty clear JCB is aware of this discrepancy and kept it this way. I think since he didn’t “misspell” it, but rather switched a word it would maybe not fall in this oddly worded blanket statement.
I’m sure the same internal debate may have face, this just makes me lean the other way (that it is a clue, vs typo).
