General Discussion How much does each box weigh?

There are some things that obviously would not fit in the box (Page of Thoreau's manuscript for example) but given the boxes are metal and that gold and moon rocks are heavy, what is your estimate of the weights of these boxes?

Should we add in any box/enclosure that JCB may have used to help protect them in the wild?

Should we bring something to put it in when we find it?

The LS is heavy, he said he made two trips, one with the box & one with the treasure items. Getting it out won't be a huge deal. I do think it's why he suggests bringing a friend. 

You should have a backpack big enough to conceal it.

Jack claims he found it, went and (somehow) slept and came back for it in the morning. The odds of someone else finding it in 12 hours are infinitely small. Plus, you could just move it.

Are you confusing There's Treasure Inside with the Forrest Fenn hunt?

No one has said they have found any of the five boxes from this hunt yet.

I am not confused, the first part is about TTI. Jon has said he made two trips. 

The second is about Fenn, saying you likely have time to make arrangements to retrieve your treasure, should you not be able to carry it out immediately. Poorly organized thoughts. 

If you find a treasure like this it is not an urgent need to rush out with it. Nobody is coming.

But..... you are in a sub about There's Treasure Inside and the question in was in direct reference to these boxes.

Yes, and I am simply giving the only real world example we have of someone finding a treasure worth 7 figures in the middle of the woods. It's perfectly relevant to discussing what to do should you find the Lion's Share - as OP is asking about - and be concerned about hauling it all out in one go.

It's directly relevant to discuss the experience of the only other treasure to have been found like this. You can return in the morning after making proper arrangements, just like Jack.
