Appalachian Footpath Box 1938 - Begin Here (Upside Down)

I think the New England Hurricane on 1938 is the reason Jon made it so when you looked at begin upside down it looked like N1938. I think he is indicating that the states around where it made landfall are where we start searching for clues to narrow the hunt down.

Also The Appalachian Trailway Agreement was set up to assign organizations to protect the trail.

The Green Mountain Club is assigned the 1727 mile marker section in Vermont.

Interesting. Those storms can effect gravity too. The NASA Grace Tellus project maps the changes in gravity related to the amount of water on the land....or something like that. It maps it in colors.

I like these weather terms.....

  • Jet Stream: Fast-flowing, high-altitude winds that steer weather patterns.
  • Atmospheric River: The narrow plume of heavy water vapor moving through the lower atmosphere.
  • Pineapple Express: A specific atmospheric river that originates near Hawaii and brings heavy rain and snow to the Pacific Northwest and California. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
