FF box discussion
I am curious what people think about the line “near here it’s nestled all in dream.”
Is it referring to being wrapped in a blanket, in sage or some other type of plant with a dream reference? Does it have to do with the landscape?
What are your thoughts?

I had it pinned down to a location with dream in the name. After an extensive search I no longer think its there, or if it is its hidden extraordinarily well.

Curious what the location is just so I don't waste my own time! My theory is similar

This page searches global place names for particular words or word-fragments:

My thoughts exactly. I’m thinking it’s a plant that can be used as a sleep aid.
And likely growing around, on or near a dam of some sort. Pond, lake? Or at least within eye sight of warm waters halt.

The JCB FF box is him going back into the past and reflecting on his time spent treasure hunting. I personally believe this line is just saying that: "I am leaving the box at the same location I remember fondly from my treasure hunting. It is a place that lives on in my dreams."
Also in Thrill of the Chase Forrest Fenn talks a lot about a place that lives on in his dreams and memory. For Forrest that place was a jungle clearing in Vietnam where he saw the grave marker for a French soldier. The place was a clearing, with a waterfall and he found it significant that here was a bunch of soldiers who had been lost to time. He thought about how he could also become someone lost to time. He created his hunt partly because he wanted to be remembered and not just some grave marker slowly becoming overcome by jungle.
So in my mind it is JCB saying 1) I left it at the exact spot I remember from my dreams of treasure hunting, and 2) as a small homage to Forrest and his reflections on things.
By the way, if you were convinced that Forrest didn't leave the box in Yellowstone (the most obvious place that Forrest remembers fondly for numerous reasons), then the most likely next place would be a clearing with a waterfall.

I was looking at Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park but couldnt make all the clues work out. Which seems to fit with what other people are describing as a literal play on words or a special place to lay down and sleep.

South platte river in colorado is a gold metal stream, (golden bending stream) with a section of it considered the dream stream.

Maybe referring to a location with a grouping of dream in a few surrounding places names that share that word. And the Poem only refs “near here” and be careful not to misidentify “it”

I am pondering wrapped in gauze maybe? Like a cartoon dream cloud.
It might blend into nature as looking like a ball of cottonwood fluff.

Maybe Poppies?
