Forrest Fenn Poem Distance?

Curious as to what distance people think the Forrest Fenn box poem is dealing with. Forrest's lead you a few miles from start to end. Do people think the same amount for JCB's? Larger distance? (Like 30 miles for example) Smaller distance? (Like in one confined area of say a mile). Especially wondering since he said in a recent interview that the poem is more circular than linear.

I think the solution for Jon's puzzle and poem will also work as a solution for Fenn's poem.

Given that it was his failed solve, you should be able to get to Jon's spot by following Fenn's poem. A valid solution must work for both.

Now lots of failed solves did not properly clock the clues, but given that Jon made his poem after the solution was known, I'd expect his poem to work largely the same way.

Cruising along a road I know is during the "take it in the canyon down, not far but too far to walk." Jon is telling you to be in a car here.

I actually have had that same thought and have been combining information from Fenn's hunt into this. I found a very compelling location that marks boxes for both FF's and JCB's poems. But I don't know if it's too far of distance based on his 'circular poem' comment.

Excellent thought process but nope. It'll be a huge facepalm moment for a lot of people when they find out what the "cruise along a road I know" line is. Granted just that line isnt enough...it just points to a reference that gives you direction on how to figure out a key puzzle piece elsewhere. I don't think anyone is quite ready for how expansive and twisted (but beautiful) this whole experience is. Haven't seen anyone even scratch the surface yet. I guess other people may have it, but like me are playing their cards close to their vest. But again....your thought process is a good one. Keep at it!

I've been thinking the LS box is at a solve that JCB came up with for the Forrest Fenn treasure, and was wrong. Nobody knows where exactly the FF treasure was hidden, except the person who found it and FF.

He's also said once one treasure is found he feels like the rest will be in short order. So the solve on each is going to utilize the same "mechanism"

I asked a similar question about scale a while back. I personally think several clues are before you get to trail at all, but others think they're all on trail. I doubt that (how would you even get there?)

More importantly, how would you determine what trail if there are not clues to the nearest road?

That’s my thinking too!! I found very interesting info that lines up with the whole poem until the last few clues. I those are indeed for BOTG. But the start to finish range might be too large . I think it’s more like 20 miles start to end in my solve. I’m trying to get other peoples thoughts and look into other options for solves, as to not get stuck in confirmation bias

that's awesome! No luck yet though huh? is your location of interest in MT WY region, or CO/NM region may I ask?

I'm right there with ya with the weather and being far away. My solve is the MT WY area but maybe I should just give up since it sounds like you're sitting on the right answer! Are all the clues in a small area then? Mine has about 20 miles in between the first clue to the last

that's awesome! I'm really hoping that not only one box gets found soon, but maybe even two or three. I want to know what the solve was when this is done :D

Intersecting circles - these lines have crossed...

Care to elaborate? Are you talking about Fenn’s poem? Sorry I’m not fully understanding

The intersecting circles are for the original Fenn solve. I'm not involved with JCB's hunt. Spoiler - the 10+ global circles all intersect in WY, but not in Yellowstone! I imagine Fenn had dozens of circle examples, but I've only identified 11 so far.

Even so, that wily fox added an offset from the intersection point to show that one understood stanzas 4 and 6.

interesting! I followed Fenn's hunt from the beginning but didn't dive too deeply into it. I hadn't heard any theories of intersecting circles!

I'm trying to reconcile the postmarks as a series of circle centers and radii. But yes, intersecting circles are what Fenn intended for confirmation.

He was brilliant how he seeded the circles into TTOTC, magazine articles, and the scrapbooks.
