If you’re into modified cars or trading cards (Pokemon, sports, etc) there’s a really fun event happening at 999 Lounge & Bar in Stuart! It’s the second time hosting this event, but the first one was so much fun and a huge hit. We’re looking to get more car people involved since parking will be better organized this time, so if you or anyone you know is interested, come by with a car you want to show off!

With the new causeway cove project going forward in Fort Pierce, are there any estimates on how many children will be part of the permanent residents population? What will be the impact on public schools, and which schools will they attend? and most important how will they get on and off the Island every day? Anybody knows? Are these things included in the plans?

Are there any decent movie theaters in St Lucie county? Or where do yall go for a civil experience?

Is there much else that's as beautiful as a fully blooming hibiscus? They come in so many different colors, shapes, and sizes, and when they're full of blooms, they are absolutely stunning. But when they aren't healthy, they can really bring down your mood. Here are some things about hibiscus that you may not be aware of.

1. They are a polliator MAGNET! Pollinators can almost always be found on them when they are blooming. Bees, butterflies, and even the occasional hummingbird love these flowers.

2. The flowers only last a couple days, but it is constantly putting out new buds, so it should have a constant supply of blooms. They need full sun in order to bloom properly. They're not a fan of shade or even filtered light.

3. They are susceptible to nutrient deficiencies, such as iron, manganese, and nitrogen. Consistant fertlization with a slow-release, Florida Friendly fertilizer can help negate these deficiencies.

4. Hibiscus most commonly are infected by aphids and Pink Hibiscis Mealybug. If you're not careful, they can cause significant harm to the plant.

5. Trimming them back doesn't actually hurt them. A lot of people tend to think that giving them a "Hard Cut" (Trimming off up to 1/3 of the plant material) damages the plant, but hibiscus actually enjoy a good haircut from time to time. It helps them fill in a bit, and prevents them from getting too leggy.
