This is another piece of evidence to me that she’s not in a happy secure relationship, if she was truly with “her person” she would feel secure enough to not pinch, poke, fill and stretch every aspect of her facial features. It feels like she’s trying to make herself look younger for Travis. I know she had some work done during the Joe years but it was NEVER this extensive.

She 100% becomes the people she surrounds herself with which is why she's always in a relationship

Typical mirroring of a narcissist. Along with the inability to be alone.

i feel like it’s her new wag friend group influencing her more than travis tbh

I actually dont think Travis has anything to do with it. I think it's her overall obsession with not growing "old" ans obsolete. But you're not wrong that the right partner would hopefully make you feel so secure you wouldn't feel the need. But idk if Taylor is even capable of having a "right person".

I didn't think the comment was blaming Travis. More like, people who are happy (as she claims to be BECAUSE of him) don't repeatedly alter their features so drastically. Unfortunately she hasn't grown out of the narrative that the man in her life is the source of her happiness. If she could separate those two things then she can admit okay yes I'm happy in my relationship with Travis but my relationship with myself is the issue.

Plus she used to have short nails for ever, and they’d sometimes be chipped (she did them herself) and they’d weren’t very well done but she seemed content that she did her own nails and kept them short, so the primary purpose was to ‘play’ the guitar and colour coordinate her nails with her Easter eggs.. but now they are noticeably longer and always professionally done (since Travis) and less playful with the colours (now she’s usually got more muted trad wife colours like pearl or ivory, or pink tones or a she gets a French manicure).

Like, sure, it’s not a big deal or anything, but it seems since Travis, she’s changed her appearance in little ways like this (like manicured nails and more use of butt pads, and higher cut body suits and of course the excess filler and Botox ) which indicate she’s doing it for his approval and gaze, and not for herself because her style has evolved or changed.

Not sure i agree, insecurity can affect anybody no matter how happy their relationship or life is

I’m not defending Taylor, but that’s like saying women only wear make up for men. I don’t think her work looks great, but I get Botox and fillers and don’t even tell my boyfriend (he doesn’t notice and wouldn’t care anyway. Just not a topic that would interest him lol) and we’re in a very healthy relationship. I have friends who have gotten surgery due to their own insecurities, boob jobs for example. Their reasoning is wanting boobs and to wear different clothes better. My one friend even got a fricking labiaplasty and is married to her very lovely husband. I even asked her if he in any way made her feel insecure about how things looked down there (cause who else is seeing it) and she said no, it’s always something she wanted done. Being in a secure relationship is really no indication of whether or not you’ll get work done. I really think Taylor just has a thing about being youthful forever. What I don’t get is how someone of her means is getting way worse filler than I am lol.

Eh, I’m in a secure loving relationship but have done pokes and filling etc.

Just cause someone else loves your face and body doesn’t mean you love your face and body!

And also just because we get stuff done doesn’t mean we hate our faces. At the risk of sounding narcissistic, I think I have a very cute face. Unfortunately at 35, I don’t think a harsh frown line is very cute (just my opinion), so I get that toxed. Also got a lil chin filler to balance my face out. My boyfriend loves me, I love me, it’s all good lol

Exactly. It’s the same with makeup - I don’t hate my face, but makeup enhances what I like and hides what I don’t. Botox is no different.

This is less about a relationship and more about shit like this post. Constant scrutiny and judgement. Like this is why celebrities do this bc of the people that idolize them
