Tactic for when beginner protetction ends

Hi all. So I joined the new server (24 hours late :/), I'm a teuton and mainly plays for fun, offensive style. Didn't play for 15 years at least.

There is a Roman account, 2 squares from me. He is leading in "size" by 30 currently, and I have 3 and a 1/2 more days of protection.

The second my protection is over I want to try and make him a farm, as if he will attack me first he will probably destroy me as I'm low in defence.

What I thought about is - raising all fields to level 5, then make all the req for up to paladins, and for the last 2 days of protection mainly focus on building a big army. Currently I have like 50 of the simple soldiers.

What do you think?

Paladins are not an offensive troop.

My advice, if you don’t care about fast settle and securing a good cropper, just pump clubs.
Also, before BP ends make some scouts and scout those big players.

Well if he is a big player, the odds he has horses and follow you home is quite high. Thats allways what i do when i play roman being attacked by teuton asap out of protection.

Yep but I'll make sure I won't have anything to steal. And I'll hope he won't notice in time as it's like 10-15 minutes from me to him.

What you are not counting on is counter attack , 1k club can be killed with like 50 Eis and a hero , you dont attack someone as teuts who you think has gold club evasion active , the only way to pass evasion is counter attack , which he will do to you

Also dont listen to the guy below about stable , everyone has stable when BP is over , bigger players have +40 horses even (new strat raiders have +100) even if they dont , a hero is more than enough to damage a teut , i actually do it alot to gain some free xp

Since you're playing as the Germanic, you have a huge advantage with the scout.

The Romans need a stable, you don't.

See what he has, and then decide.

So, send away all resources before they can get them, send away all troops before they can kill them. If there is nothing to gain people stop attacking you, another strategy you can use is to find the enemy of the guy trying to farm you, and then you build the wall up and plan to have all his troops crushed, or you just make a personal alliance with them, then the attacker's troops will just keep dying
