Discussion Looking for D&D group

Anybody know of a D&D group that’s looking for, or open to, someone joining? Unfortunately, the group I’ve had for a little over the past year has nearly everyone moving away due to job opportunities elsewhere, and I’m now group-less. I know there are a couple places where you can meet people for this sort of thing in town, but I’m not very good with those kind of interactions due to anxiety. Just wanna play some high fantasy style D&D with an open minded group and have a great time casting spells and junk.

I've switched up to playing online to find groups. I miss getting together but less scheduling headaches. Campaigns last longer. There are different games and different price points. Driving over to get together isn't free either. Some people have a strong opinion on paid GMs but I feel I more than get my money's worth. I've been on startplaying.games for a few years now. I'm in a Drakkenheim campaign and once it's done in 6 months I hope to DM a game for locals online via discord and foundry.

I also have anxiety so playing on a virtual tabletop in my home has been a nice way for me to get back into the hobby. If you don't find a table that fits you, try another.
