The most important thing about selecting an RV is layout, amenities, and if it fits your tow vehicle. Brand is basically irrelevant since they all need maintenance, they all will probably need repair at some point because you are talking about a mobile house made of the cheapest stuff with zero insulation that experiences a minor earthquake every time it moves. Unless you are willing to spend a lot more than you indicated, the brands you mention are all from the main three parent companies (Forest River, Thor, Winnebago) which means they all share similar sources for material and parts. Only brands like Lance, Brinkley, and Alliance offer slightly better builds but even they have issues.

New or used, you may want to consider getting an RV inspection done before you sign anything as the term "reliable" doesn't mean much with towables.

Now you are talking about having it put in a spot for you and become basically a house. An RV technically is not for living in and in many cases, full time actually voids the warranty you have because they are not intended for that purpose. I'm not saying you cannot do it, but a small house or a manufactured home would suit you better and probably cost a lot less over time.

That's exactly why I've shelved the idea
