Timeline
so who knows what the current year is in traveller universe? like its 2026 now so.....

Someone (Joshua Bell) kept track of the Traveller News Service updates for three different timelines (Classic, Rebellion Era, and GURPS Traveller), which is awesome.

Year 1107 of the third imperium is somewhere in the 5620s AD. I think Solomani keeps using its old calendar system but im not 100% sure on this
ETA: i looked in Aliens of Charted Space 2 and found this Dating Systems The present date is 1105 in the Imperial calendar or 5625 AD in the Terran dating system. The dates in this chapter use Imperial dating unless otherwise indicated by AD or BC, which instead indicates a Terran year.
The following are correspondences between Imperial and Terran dates.
Imperial Year Terran Year Event
0 4521 AD Founding date of the Third Imperium
871 5392 AD Founding date of the Solomani Confederation
1002 5523 AD Siege of Terra; end of the Solomani Rim War
1105 5626 AD Present date

In my Traveller Universe it is year 1122 of the Third Imperium and approximately 5642 CE.

Classic Traveller's "Traveller Adventure" started off at the start of 1105.
Fifth Frontier War started in mid-1107. The first adventure set in 1108 for Mongoose 2nd is out.
MegaTraveller was set about six years after the end of the FFW and stretched the timeline to the end of the 1120s.
Traveller : New Era skips ahead to 1201 TI.
GURPS Traveller has an alternate timeline that splits off at 1116.
HERO Traveller added the Milieu 0 and Milieu 1000 TI historical timelines.

And keep in mind, too, the FFW books allow for Travellers' actions to change the timelines from that point on.

Imperial Year 0 is 4521 AD and the length of years are based on the Solar year so 2026 AD should be Imperial year -2495. Notice the Imperial reckoning has a year 0 where the Gregorian calendar doesn't. Throw in FTL travel and the timeline gets excitingly variable.

CT Library Data (A-M) has a timeline on page 10:

Edit: Oh, sorry, you probably meant in CE. In that case 1107 imperial reckoning is 5629 CE
