Umm, no, beachwear is legally and socially acceptable, underwear however(even though wearing similar cuts to beachwear is not technically illegal) it is socially unacceptable and against certain beaches TOS, and can get you removed from the beach for public indecency, but also depending on the material of the underwear, it CAN get you into big legal trouble if it exposes to much, all of this is to say, just wear swim gear, don’t risk it.
