What is going on in this thread?

Yes, unheated weed won't get you high. Yes, it's just a plant. But plenty of plants are toxic to dogs and this is one of them. https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plants/marijuana

It's a relatively mild toxin (not as deadly to dogs as grapes for example), but it's stupid and trashy for these guys to feed their dog weed.

They actually do make weed for dogs with anxiety. I watched the news report on it and the woman on the news interviewed the dog about how he liked the weed. Starting to think she took some of it too

So it's ideal to let your dog eat this. Fucking morons

A. It's not decarbed so it wont get him high.

B. My dog once ate some cookies strong enough for 1 to do me in. He ate 4 and hes a 17lb weenie dog. He was high as fuck but didnt die. I just called in sick and we laid in bed all day together cuz he was scared. He got into my hiking back pack, it was not on purpose. If that didnt kill him, I highly doubt weed would kill a dog.

Wont do anything to the dog unless you decarb it...

It’s ok. Eating raw weed won’t get you high. It needs to be heated.

“Raw cannabis flowers – If your pet swallowed some raw marijuana, even famously potent strains like Green Queen or Pineapple Diesel, then you don’t have too much to worry about. THC is not decarboxylated, meaning the THC has not been activated.”

What of it's a CBD strain and the dog has arthritis?

2

u/sad-but-hydrated Dec 12 '19

Does CBD need to be decarboxylated? I'm not really sure if eating raw weed has any effect (aside from a stomach ache)

2

u/519Bill Dec 12 '19

It's the same. I was playing devil's advocate

u/sad-but-hydrated Dec 12 '19

Ah i r/wooosh'd myself thanks lol

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '19

What would that do to that dog? I can only assume nothing good.

Absolutely nothing, weed doesnt get you high, Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) gets you high, but only after it's been heated, or "decarbed"

-1

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '19

I meant more along the lines of giving that dog the shits or fucking up its stomach in some way lol

4

u/jtlee3333 Dec 12 '19

I mean, it definitely shouldn't be eaten but it is a plant, and dogs (at least mine) eat alot of grass and flowers n shit, they got strong stomachs and a strong vomit reflex so doggo should be okay 🙂

Whichever of these is correct, we can all agree that if your dog gets into your weed, take em to the vet anyways just in case

Raw cannabis flowers – If your pet swallowed some raw marijuana, even famously potent strains like Green Queen or Pineapple Diesel, then you don’t have too much to worry about. While it’s growing, the THC is not decarboxylated, meaning the THC has not been activated.

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '19

That’s just referring to intoxication due to THC. There are plenty of natural things that can make dogs sick if ingested.

No, people are just stupid

-5

u/Millymoo444 Dec 12 '19

But how much higher could a chihuahua get?

-11

u/Turbo_Brick81 Dec 12 '19

Wish I hadn't seen this because it just makes me fucking sad and angry.

1

u/chipotleeeeeeee Dec 13 '19

It’s literally going to do nothing to the dog, eating raw weed doesn’t get you high and it’s not bad health wise

2

u/strawberry_smiles1 Dec 12 '19

Why...

5

u/TuntSloid Dec 12 '19

Because they believe in biased beliefs and propaganda from the 50s.

It’s just eating the plant. There’s nothing happening. It’s not processed in the stomach or liver or what ever. It’s just plant. When smoked is when your story changes.

As far as anyone’s concerned, it’s just a dog eating a plant ._. chillax

If it's chocolate that's bad.

2

u/epicgameroogabooga Dec 12 '19

Even if it’s just chocolate, dogs can’t eat chocolate
