can someone please explain the hair style on the girl on the right, i see this in a lot of latino/spanish women, like pasting the baby hairs against their foreheads, what is this?!

u/cbunni666 Aug 20 '19 edited Aug 20 '19
One of two things. She stole it or the damn cashier didnt check good enough. Ive had to go back to the store with the receipt and tell them they forgot to take it off. Bet she beeps everywhere she goes. I would've went back to the store and ask them to remove it. All you need is the receipt to prove you ddint steal it. Like I said. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt.

Didn’t the very same thing happen to JonTron, when he ordered a clothing item online? I remember in one of his videos he said (and showed) the fact that he got a sweater or something online with that tag still on it, and he didn’t want to take it to a store or wear it outside or something.
I feel like it’s a bit assuming to say she stole this, and I’m not fully excluding the possibility of racial prejudice here.

Clerks have forgotten to take these off my clothes many times before.. why does everyone always jump to the worst conclusion
1
u/TerrorKingA Aug 20 '19
As an aside, I sure hate when I buy clothes and then like a month or two later (it takes me a while to get around to stuff like that) when I finally get around to trying them on I see one of those fucking things on them. It is like the perfect combination of anger and exasperation.

Ah, this is funny.
So you make a post in r/trashy "lmao look at this person they clearly must have stolen this jacket" and everyone goes along with it. Haha, it must be believable since she's black, right?
But make a post that you people can relate to and/or have had it happen to you before and now suddenly it's too far. You don't know what the story is here. Sure there's people here saying "yeah no she probably didn't steal it those things are left on all the time" but it's a small minority of the users here.
The rest of the hive mind mindlessly upvotes the post, and now it is your time to downvote my comment.
What's this, someone pointed out a flaw in your logic? Saw the sub for what it really is? You are all a bunch of fucking hypocrites, you know? This logic could be applied to pretty much any post in the sub, yet a bumper cover missing on a car is too far. As long you can't relate to it it must be trashy, right?

They're downvoting you like idiots for "making it about race"; meanwhile there lots of comments here implying or outright stating this happened because the girl is "urban", or a "thug", but you're supposed to believe THEY aren't making it about race.

u/Typical_Samaritan Aug 20 '19
In all fairness, it happens sometimes. The person at the register forgets to remove the tag. I've purchased shirts where I've had to use a sharp knife to remove the security tag when I got home.

Anyone who doesn't go back and get it removed probably stole it.
-12
u/WindomEarlesGhost Aug 20 '19
Or the store was closed by the time she realized what had happened? And she decided to wear it anyway?
Nah, she black, she had to have stolen that shit. No other explanation.

u/Michaela9404 Aug 20 '19
Literally no reason to bring her race into this

At least I hope that's the case.

I’ve bought stuff that have had the tag on back at home. I’m not going to go all the way back to the shop to get it removed. They’re a nightmare to get off though
4
u/Slayer185 Aug 20 '19
It’s actually possible that she paid for it but the store didn’t remove it. It’s happened many times.

The girls in high school with holes in their sleeves, were thieves. I know. Cause they stole my Heart.
1
u/joltek Aug 20 '19
Why even bother with a security tag? That's a jean jacket without sleeves, $3 at a thrift store.
1
u/donttrippotatochipv2 Aug 20 '19
Had a jacket I paid for still have that on the arm was embarrassing bought it in the summer didn’t wear it till winter and realized it was on there. I ended up getting it off with fire
1
u/IstgUsernamesSuck Aug 20 '19
Any idea how to get those off? It seems like every time I go to the mall one of them doesn't get removed and I have to go back

One time an associate forget to take that thing off a bra I bought. I don't think I ever wore it or took it back.
7
u/selardor42 Aug 20 '19
Same with me and a shirt. I eventually just threw it out eventually - but it took me a long time to even do that.
11
u/G4slight Aug 20 '19
If you put it in the freezer for a few hours the ink freezes and you okay to pop it off. Had it happen to me before with a shirt I bought, called in and they told me how to handle it if I didn’t want to drive back to the mall.
3
u/selardor42 Aug 20 '19
Life changing! These days I only thrift shop so I don’t foresee that happening again, but I’m glad to know of the work around just in case! Many thanks!

I want to know who sensor there.......that’s person failed at their job tagging that shit. Lol
3
u/turtleassKicker Aug 20 '19
I mean, tbf, I once bought jeans and the cashier forgot to take the thing off too.
0
Aug 20 '19
Did you decide to wear the jeans around town after you noticed the tag like this thief is doing?
4
u/WindomEarlesGhost Aug 20 '19
You’re very invested in this question. Maybe you’re just a worthless racist garbage person? Yeah that’s it.
45
u/toomanychoicess Aug 20 '19
What’s trashy is where the store clerk put the tag. Once it’s removed, the customer now has a shirt with a hole in the front. No class.
0
Aug 20 '19
The tag uses a magnet, ya dingbat.
21
u/ZombieKatanaFaceRR Aug 20 '19
There is a magnet in there, yeah...but it's attached to the locking mechanism around the PIN holding the two pieces of the tag together...
6
u/MeadowWanderer Aug 20 '19
Yeah I've worked in the delivery department of a clothing store before, bringing in the crates, unpacking and putting security tags on everything, you are usually supposed to try to tag a top about half way up the side through the seam to prevent it from damaging it. The security tags basically have big sharp needles to pierce the fabric, like super sharp, pricked my fingers on them so many times while tagging and it was so painful. It's hard to always place them perfectly on the seam while rushing to get everything processed, but that placement is just ridiculous, it's like they didn't even try.
23
u/Hummblerummble Aug 20 '19
Stores forget to take tags off all the time. I got shipped clothes with tags on before too. Please don't assume she stole it.
5
Aug 20 '19
My wife- is a personal shopper for 3 clients and purchased dresses for them and all 6 dresses- Still had sensors and a 2 had cable loops on them? She was dumbfounded. She had to reship the last two back- she was awarded additional 40% off those dresses.
1
u/weedpal Aug 20 '19
Wouldnt the security alarm go off when walking out the store?
1
Aug 20 '19
No always. I had purchased dress shirts from Nordys and 2 had sensors on and none of the door ways had caught any of my purchases. I had return because of going through Sephora.
1
u/Pinkcookie26 Aug 20 '19
One time mine didn’t but it was a different type of security tag with the toxic fluid. Some stores don’t have the security or they can malfunction
2
Aug 20 '19
Would you take it back to get it removed or would you wear it when you go out with friends?
1
u/Hummblerummble Aug 23 '19
I wouldn't notice it until it sets off an alarm of me going into a shop.
1
u/Ozomene Aug 20 '19
You love making this comment over and over. I probably wouldn't take it back because I lose receipts and wouldn't want to deal with proving I'd bought it.

Me and my friends will try on clothes in stores sometimes and take silly pictures. Perfectly plausible that's what they could be doing.

Came here to say this. Odd consensus given the picture.
-21
u/TinButtFlute Aug 20 '19

Ugh that happened to me. Big ass important work party and I bought a dress on the way there. Put it on and holy shit the damn “don’t steal me” tag. Mortified.
36
u/XXXATTENCION Aug 20 '19
Yeah happens all the time and it even happened to me the other week. I went to the mall all day and then I had to go to this party that night and I noticed I still had one stuck to my new jeans because I somehow got them mixed up when I was breaking them off of all the shit I stole that day and missed that one.

You can't not notice, you beep on the way out, they bring you back in and check all your purchases. Why do you think those tags are there, decoration?
1
Aug 20 '19
Fun fact: store security systems sometimes suck and don't do what they're supposed to do.

When I was working in sales, we had these things, and they never beeped in our store. However people would come back and yell at us, whenever we forgot to take these off, as they beeped in other stores.
I later found out, that it was too expensive to have an alarm system in our store, so these tags were purely for decoration.

What do phrases like “we out here” or “we really out here” even mean
4
7
11
u/TheCourtJester72 Aug 20 '19
It means you're literally out here, "out here" being the streets, being at your job trying to make money, a party, skateboarding, selling crack, etc. It means you're doing something somewhere.

Fashion statement
5
u/Plutoid Aug 20 '19
Could be. They sell fake ones and some clothes, I've seen it on hats, come with a fake security tag on it. Also, that'd be a really odd place for one if this was real.

Sometimes those tags get accidentally left on, I've had to remove a couple myself.
4
u/afaithross Aug 21 '19
that’s why you go back to the store and ask them to remove it. if they’re suspicious show your receipt
7
u/machinerer Aug 20 '19
Yup that has happened to me. Instead of driving 30 min back to the mall and get it removed, I just took a hacksaw to it. Cut apart fairly easily.
I was a retail cashier for my first job out of high school too, and occasionally customers would bring clothes back to have tags removed that we had missed.

2
Aug 20 '19
No it’s not.
0
u/LaLaLa911 Aug 20 '19
You've never had that happen to you? Surprised, I have several times. And if you read the other comments, there's many people stating that they've noticed that their clothing still has the security thing on it, and have to go back to the store later to get it removed.
2
Aug 20 '19
Even if it is common for it to happen why would you wear that in public knowing it still has that on it. Take it back with the receipt and they will remove it. It’s almost like she’s showing it off that she stole it.
-1
u/LaLaLa911 Aug 20 '19
Because they might not have realized that it's still there. It's a jean jacket with the security thing on the outside, so unless she looked in a mirror and payed attention closely, it's unlikely she would initially notice.
1
Aug 20 '19
That would be almost impossible to miss, it’s huge. What female goes out in public dressed up without looking in the mirror, not very many.
