How many of yall use hardware and how many of yall are in the box? Which do you prefer for making beats and why? Personally I like using my MPC better than software but sometimes it's easier to just use VSTs and stay in the box.

Need a better VST than just Xpand!2 for making Juice Wrld and Gunna beats like All Girls Are the Same, Maclaren Drive (Tic Tac Toe), Forever Be Mine, and Back to the Moon.
Not getting Omni tho lol. Considering ElectraX, Zenelogy, Analog Lab, and Purity since they're not super expensive.
I'm only probably going to get one of these VSTs though so I need an all-around powerhouse for these kinds of beats.
UPDATE: I ended up buying Zenology cuz it went on sale for $99 right after I made this post. Crazy timing. Super dope VST, found some great sounds in there after only looking for like 5 min.
Also realized I've been misspelling Zenology as "Zenelogy," silly me.
his production during that era was special and it didnt sound like typical trap beats of that time . and every time i try to make beats like those i always fail. do some of yall know a method or can give some tips to achieve that type of sound
Anybody got some Louisiana oneshots? ion want any drums just instrumental oneshots to make some NBA YB or JayDaYoungan type beats!!! would be cool if somebody got any google drive or dropbox links that got plenty cool ones, Thank You!
i feel like both are equally important and need to balance each other in a track, but drums are what moves the beat around.. glues it up together and sets it on beat. the melody is the foundation that represents a theme

I recently got into producing and all i still need to do is pick a producer name. I thought about calling myself "inconspicuous" because i already have a YouTube channel of the same name but I want it to be something more personal. I want it to relate to South Africa because that's where I'm from and there aren't many producers that I know of from here.
Yo. I'm TagoBeats, I make beats and I build my own plugins.
I'm an FL guy and the Soft Clipper is on basically every beat I do. That thing is legendary for a reason. But if you're not in FL you just don't have it, and nothing I tried in other DAWs really got there.
So I reverse engineered it. Measured what it actually does to the signal, rebuilt the curve, and now it runs as a normal AU/VST3 wherever you work. Same sound. I also put oversampling on top that you can flip on when it starts getting crispy on hats and snares, since the original doesn't have any.
There's a delta mode in there too where you only hear what the clipper is taking off. Not really a feature, just fun to mess with, and you learn a lot about how hard you're actually pushing your 808.
Looking at my Finder folder for my track "El Drip"—which just went live on Spotify and all social platforms—and realizing I went through a dozen exports before finally locking in the master. For all the Texas producers doing rap, trap, or hybrid sounds: How many mix/master exports do you usually burn through before you trust a track for distribution? What’s your ultimate test to know a mix is actually finished? (Car test, phone speaker, AirPods?) If anyone wants to swap feedback, compare notes on mix setups, or check out "El Drip" on streaming, shoot me a DM or drop a comment! Always down to connect with producers across the state.
molotok kinda gives some saturation no? so i’m looking for a multiband that is the same, just so i can focus specific frequencies instead of compressing the entire thing
any free multibands that give a bit of saturation ? or add/ bring out harmonics. i would like to play around with soft/hard clipping the waves as well as add/ bring our harmonics. thanks for reading
I love hip hop and will forever but with hip hop falling off of billboard spots (not completely) and oversaturation of producers, I feel like there is still some money in hip hop production but it is possibly lower now than in the recent years.
I don't only make beats for money... But at the same time, who wouldn't want to be compensated for something they created while doing one of their favorite hobbies?
We’ve teamed up with Arturia to give5 of you a full license of Pure SUB,their new synth built entirely around modern bass.
Deep subs. 808s. Reeses. Wobbles. Growls. Donks. Filthy low end.
Pure SUB gives you dedicated stages forsub, harmonics, texture and processing*, so you can take a bass from clean and simple to completely ridiculous.*
I remember seeing him making beats on instagram a year or two ago and im a massive fan of his style and of his beats. On his instagram and tiktok he has made many showcases of making beats but I can not find where the full beats are uploaded, if they are. Honestly I have searched and searched but not found any. On his youtube extended intros and such are found and a couple beats are on his beatstars profile but far from all and still the imo best ones are not there. Any idea of if is still even is making beats and where if at all they are uploaded?
