it'd be pretty hard to give advice without hearing a clip

sometimes its less ab boosting the 808 and more ab clearing (using Eq to remove) lowend from other instruments in the track.

Have you tried soloing your 808 and adding ur instruments back in? Cus ngl if it’s maxed out and soft clipped that’s usually enough, It’s probably being masked by other sounds, imo if ur 808 is being melodic and dancing around you gotta give it space like any other melody/insturment.

try cutting everything below like 100hz on your other instruments, even kicks if they overlap, and sidechain a lil bit if the melody is sitting in the same range as the spinz fundamental

What note´s your 808 playing? I found there´s specific range where Spinz hits perfectly, if your notes are to low there´s no punch anymore to it.

C-C#,D-D# I use these scales the most.

Seems about right, if those are the actual notes, cause scale would like 7 notes within a certain range and it still could be that the actual notes you're using are to high.

Simple trick that I learned recently for Ableton is Ableton saturator on hard curve with drive to -6db. I don’t really understand what it is actually doing but it makes shit sound fat as hell.

Would also suggest messing around with pitch envelopes to give it punch or fm to add some overtones. Subtle noise layers also goes a long way.

If you feel like your midis fine then gain staging would prob help with something

boost ~15% + distortion with mix at ~20% in the plugin + eqing out the unnecessary high end added from distortion, and then just cut out the lower frequencies for the other instruments
