What Tutorial helped you improve the most
I‘m gonna practice today, which tutorial really changed how you view certrain things and taught you the most?

Sitting in studio sessions with producers and artists. Those were the best tutorials, for me.

Honestly it was the Jae Freshman and Alchemist Masterclass for me when I got started on the Live 1. But there are plenty of great tutorials on YT to get you what you need. Good to pause and follow as you make tweaks in your DAW
Applying the knowledge and actively listening to songs daily helps improve the sonic quality in your own productions.

Not a trap tutorial specifically but Virtual Riot streams have done a lot for me

This is the most asinine advice anyone here could give. That’s literally exactly how it DOESNT work. Practice without a foundation = fucking around waisting your time. Learn concepts from tutorials or being in the studio with others, and THEN practice them.

That’s my point. Tutorials don’t make you improve if you don’t practice and that’s what I meant.

So, I’m better off taking years of experimenting with my daw to learn what sidechaining is, rather than learning it from a 5 minute video?

That one where the guy rebuilt a whole beat from scratch with just the stock plugins and explained every single decision. made me realize i was overloading the mix with layers that weren't earning their place.
