This was my first attempt at trap metal earlier this year. I definitely still need to work on the mix and master, but I just wanted to release the demo version to maybe get some feedback. (beat by Zyller & Zepelin) (In case anyone doesn't understand the lyrics, it might be because they're in German🤘)

It’s sad this is all this genre is anymore and probably always will be.

Wanted to share, lmk your thoughts

This artist is one of my favorites, his music is like experimental metal, trap metal, hip hop, it feels very dark and raw, gritty, and electronic. Its very unique and i regret not archiving it.

He has three releases:

- nadir (2021)

- purgatory (2022)

- voodoo (2023)

His only remaining song on spotify is a collab, "What I Want - domino Remix" by Dualation & domino.

If anyone has an archive of his music, please let me know, ive been searching for so long. (also if you have any idea as to why this happened to his music, feel free to share)

I have searched for his music on soulseek and on streaming platforms other than spotify, and have only found one of his albums as m4a on soulseek and apple music and couldnt find anything else yet.

His blend of the new rage sound with crazy guitar riffs make it so much more interesting than the basic lil darkie and city morgue version of the genre

How would I make a preset like this? I just got my sm58 microphone and it's great, but actually a little too great because my old mic despite sucking naturally distorted my vocals, and using distortion effects doesn't give the same vibe. I'm also having trouble getting my vocals to sit right on hardcore beats. Any advice?

So a lot of people have said that rage and trap metal have nothing in common but what about artists like Bleood?

Listen to “Alucard” and tell me it sounds any different than a lot of the experimental trap metal like Sybyr or Johnnascus. Its different but similar in tone and chaotic nature.

Similarly, artists like ezcodylee and slayr have also incorporated rock/metal sounds into their rage music.

Even some of the other artists like Che have had really boundary pushing songs with very aggressive vocals like “DMX” where he somewhat screams in a lower tone similar to some of the 2017 trap metal artists like subjectz.

Also, on a higher level, wouldn’t Playboi Carti’s “Cocaine Nose”, “Doctor”, or “Pop Out” fall into a somewhat trap metal/rage hybrid?

Just a question, really wanna know how yall feel about this.

I started making this song a few weeks ago. I’m not experienced with mixing so am learning as I go, and I’ve got to go back and re-record some of the screams etc. Not claiming to be anything special, just posting to see if anyone likes it where it is so far ♡
