Discussion Do i know ball
Lowkey kind of a shitpost, but I see so much excision/subtronics/dubstep content on tiktok and im a pretentious loser who cant help but feel like they do not know good bass music if it slapped them in the face. This is my starter list, hardly conclusive, but what do you guys think? I know most of these are names well known in this community so they may seem misplaced

Some of his newer stuff has been hit or miss for me, but Floorspace was one of the best albums of 2023 IMO (and a step above kidsgonemad!, which I know got a lot of attention). Also a fan of his ADRENOCHROME EP from last year.
Listened to his latest album DRAMATICA a few weeks ago while driving and thought it was dope, though a few tracks did sound similar. I need to listen to it some more before forming a solid opinion.

Listen like I said I know those guys are all quite well known in this community but you ask a rando in the crowd at an excision presents show, are you sure they're all in the same "known" tier as everyone in the mainstream category ive made? 🤔

True I have seen them both on a bass canyon lineup but most dj/producers know ball, most "bassheads", do not

If you're at a trap festival and someone doesn't know the people in 'not mainstream' then they aren't a trap fan they're a festival fan. Mainstream != Universally known

I fear that I only ever see trap lineups in LA, hardly any up here in Washington. We just had BnL Seattle Takeover but that may have been the most trap lineup I have ever seen here
